“A man is what he thinks all day long."

Palmaïa is for those who want to be healthy and connect with a likeminded community, for this reason the entire concept was created around our retreat experience called AïA\Wellness. Our location is unique as it is surrounded by 400 hectares of virgin jungle, yet close enough to civilization to be practical – Cancun airport is only a 45min drive, making it ideal for quick weekend breaks as well as long stays.
Palmaïa is All-Inclusive. This means you pay one rate end everything is included in the price*. We have 234 well appointed rooms whose design reflects the textures and colors of nature that surround you. We have a beautiful Spa in the jungle that is as magical and mystical as the medicine-men and women who take care of our guests. We are also child-friendly, where children can gather at our children’s club called Awen. Based on Waldorf principles, we teach art, creativity and connection to nature. What better way to enjoy a healthy life than to be able to pass that philosophy to our children? Nevertheless, we do limit the number of children to no more than 70 at any one time in order to respect the wellness concept so pelase book in advance for high seasons.
Please enjoy exploring the rest of the we in order to understand us in more detail, read guests reviews and give us a call if you have any questions. You can find our contact details on the above right side of the webpage.
* Some services may have an extra charge like Spa, Private Sessions, Private Dinners etc.
Created in 2018 by the famous artist Daniel Popper, AïA represents the inner voice connecting us with mother Nature. She is protecting with one hand the last piece ofvirgin land remaining, together with the good energy of the Earth, represented with a big Quartz. She extends the other hand inviting us to be part of the collective awareness of the universe.
Inspired by ancient solar calendars, it resembles ancient astronomical and ceremonial sites.
A passage from one state to another symbolizes the transformation of the self into a new reality.
A structure that honors the natural lines of vegetation between sand dunes. Inspired by those mystical ingredients with almost magical healing properties attributed to ancient shamanic medicine.
As the name suggests, it is the gathering point of the tribe to initiate inner work in the community.
The term ‘Cenote’ originates from the Mayan word ‘dzonot,’ translating to abyss. Beyond being vital sources of life, cenotes are hubs that provide water and biodiversity, holding cultural significance as entrances to the ‘other world’ or’underworld’ for ancestors. They serve as focal points forcommunion and the worship of deities.

Palmaïa is located on the most southern point of Playa del Carmen surrounded by 400 hectares of virgin jungle. Close enough to be an easy 45min drive to Cancun airport, yet far enough to feel private and secluded. There are no roads or streets to Palmaïa, therefore the only way of accessing is through another neighbouring resort. This system allows a double layer of security as you have to enter a private residential development and then cross a resort by gold cart to enter Palmaïa.
